1st Anniversary For Not Writing

Haha... hello! It's me, back to action. Yupe.. it has been a long long time since the last post. Exactly a year! Gosh, I just couldn't a find my free time to update it. Especially after I entered the work marathon. Time is never enough. When you came back from work, what is always in my mind is S-L-E-E-P.

Once I have edited this photo. Now, taking a glance back.. I wish I could travel back to time.. when we are still enjoying our campus life. Miss that old times we had.

Campus_life_small

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I can still remember the laughter during my graduation. We say no more to exams, no more assignment. Free at last. But we didn't realise that it was just the beginning of our lives. Welcome to the real world! No more movies during weekdays, no more cheap karaoke with buffet during off-peak hours. So, no more Hurray for graduating.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Time really flies. Singapore has became my work zone. Despite of the high currency exchange rate, it's a great place for shopping as well. It's clean and convenient to go anywhere. Spent more than 6 months over there until I got recruited by another company.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It's a Dutch company. Since then, my lifestyle changed. No more gym after work, no more gathering with friends every wednesday and no more movie day with my room mate on tuesday. From 8 hours a day to 12 hours, from 5.5 days of work to 6-7 days work. Work gets tougher. However, life gets luxurious. Ya.. it's the salary that matters. Haha.. Furthermore, I'll be able to travel around the world for work, working with different nationalities.. and soon the world will become smaller to me.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I am now with my first project in Banjarmasin, Indonesia. A cowboy town indeed. Life here is simple for everyone. Although some live in poverty, they enjoyed their life. I've been here for almost 3 months, got sick of the food in the hotel.. really miss the food in Malaysia and Singapore. Especially Bak kut teh, roti canai, nasi lemak, pan mee, chicken rice, singapore fried prawn mee.. and definitely, home cook stewed cabbage, fried mee by my mom! Oh gosh...

Anyway, I am going on my 1 month leave by the end of this month... 18 days to go.. yeah, I just couldn't wait. Lots of plans...so many things to be done.

Haha... Well, enough for this time. Hope I can share more about my life in Banjarmasin very soon. I hope there won't be another year of anniversary for not writing.

"Bak Chang" Festival (Rice Dumplings)

Two post in one shot. Cos today two events happened in a shot. Phew.. have you read the previous one "Strong Winds Wreaked Havoc in Penang"? It totally contradicts with this post. It's a sad one. But this is a delicious one.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It's our annual Dragon Boat Festival (Mandarin: Duanwu) which falls on the fifth day of the fifth moon of the Chinese calendar. "Bak Chang" or in chinese "Zongzi" is eaten on this particular day. In english, it is called Chinese rice dumpling. It is a traditional Chinese food, made of glutinous rice stuffed with different fillings and wrapped in bamboo leaves. They are cooked by steaming or boiling. Laotians, Thais, Cambodians, and Vietnamese also have similar traditional dishes influenced by zongzi.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

THE ORIGIN
The festival is to commemorate the death of Qu Yuan, a famous Chinese poet from the kingdom of Chu who lived during the Warring States period. Known for his patriotism, Qu Yuan tried unsuccessfully to warn his king and countrymen against the expansionism of their Qin neighbors. When the Qin Dynasty general Bai Qi took Yingdu, the Chu capital, in 278 BC, Qu Yuan's grief was so intense that he drowned himself in the Miluo river after penning the Lament for Ying. According to legend, rice dumplings were thrown into the river to prevent fish from eating the poet's body. Another version states that the dumplings were given to placate a dragon that lived in the river. (Credit to wikipedia)

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Of course today, I've been enjoying this wonderful cuisine. Ate 6 dumplings today. Haha.. different savoury with fillings such as salted duck eggs, cooked peanuts, chestnuts, cooked pork, dried shrimps and chinese black mushrooms. The fillings used for "bak chang" vary from region to region. Today, I've eaten Nyonya, Hokkien and Vegetarian style dumplings. Yummy...

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Bak Chang is best served with chinese tea. This is to dilute the oily and acidic dumplings to enhance digestion. Lastly, Happy Duanwu Festival. Enjoy the dumplings!

Strong Winds Wreaked Havoc in Penang!

Today supposed to be an auspicious day for chinese. It's Bak Chang (Rice Dumpling) Festival. But today strong winds have blown away most Penang-ites' mood. It is a so called 'typhoon'. I'm not sure the blowing speed (will check out tomorrow news). But it is the strongest I've ever seen.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Rooftops being blown away, trees came crashing down, cars damaged. Here is the view from my house balcony.

P1140313small

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If you notice, the wind was terrible. Somehow caused some havoc at my area. You can hear breaking sound of glass, door banging and the humming sound of the wind.

P1140328small

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Since last week, we expected rainy days almost everyday in Penang. Last few days, winds are getting stronger day by day. Today is the strongest. The photo below was taken yesterday.

P1140002small

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Anyway, will check the latest news tomorrow. Just watched 8pm news on tv. Found that the wind had created havoc not only in Penang, but also Kedah. Especially areas by the sea. Sea water rose, being blown by the strong force. The wind will be blowing until tonight. Let's pray!

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Updated news: June 20, 2007

This is the news out in News Straits Times today.

Freak_gust_in_penang

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

George Town: A freak storm wreaked havoc at several places here and on the mainland yesterday afternoon with fishing boats capsizing, roofs blown off, trees being uprooted. Strong winds and violent waves started pounding the coastal areas at 2pm.

A state Meteorological Department spokesman described yesterday's weather condition in Penang as a 'freak gust', caused by the northwesternly winds blowing into the island. The weather condition is expected to last until Thursday.

"We recorded winds up to 86kph in certain areas. The worst hit areas included the popular Miami Beach front at Batu Ferringhi, where fishing boat capsized causing two fishermen to fall overboard."

"We were fishing when strong winds and huge waves suddenly came and just lifted our boat. I thought I was going to die. This is the first time I encountered such strong waves and wind" said Omar.

DURIANS, I Hate Them!

Durian_small

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Some says:
"It has the texture of a cold cow pat, it smells like a poorly maintained public convenience but the taste is worse!"

Some says:
"The texture is like baked custard, while the smell and taste are simply in-describable but delicious"

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Well, I used to be a Durian Lover. When I was young, I love Durian served in cold especially those which were kept in the fridge for days. However, years past by, somehow I lost contact with Mr. Durian. I started to hate the smell. I just couldn't figure it out, the wonderful smell had turned out to be the worse smell of all. Now, I just couldn't stand the smelly fruit.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Last week, my parents brought back one bunch of durians. They ended up enjoying them outside the house, with the front door closed. Lol... cos me and my sis just kept complaining about the smell. Especially when they burped out the smelly gas. Eww.. disgusting! Pity them.. but they really enjoy the durian feast.

MUM CAN COOK

Gosh, I just couldn't stop myself from writing FOOD related post. FOOD is my life as indicated in my previous post "I LOVE FOOD". This time I wanna talk bout my mum's cooking. She is the best cook in my life. And guess what, she just cooked my favorite dish today.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Mum's HomeCook Fried Noodle

Mee

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Can you imagine? This amount of mee is eaten by 3 PERSON. My mom, father and me. Look at the bottom right photo. That pot is huge. It has around 10cm depth. The amount should be enough for 6-7 person. And 3 of us finished it in only 1 meal. Hold on your jaws. Haha.. now you know why I'm such a big eater. I was trained to be since young. When I was young, our family can eat vegetables that weighs more than 1-2 kilogram.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

She seldom cook these days since 2002. Besides, I was in campus far from hometown for 5 years. Anyway, she'll cook occasionally when I request. That is why, I missed her cooking so much.  And today is my lucky day.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I will update this post with all her cooking. I mean all my favorite mum's dishes. Yummy.. yummy... I can't wait for next time.

Happy Mother's Day

Mother's Day had just past. And I was so lucky to have the opportunity to celebrate this wonderful moment with my mum and grandma. "Mothers are the cement that keeps her family together and her love lasts a lifetime". Mothers are loving, selfless and will always stand behind their kids to protect them from any harm.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have a great mom, who had sacrificed so much for me and my sis. Protect us from harm. Ensure us with the best education and advice us to respect others. We shared our laughter, our tears, our wonderful  and hard moments. She feels bad when she couldn't provide us the best. Mum... me and sis will always understand the hardship you have gone through. We are so grateful that we will definitely pay it back in future. For us, everyday is Mother's Day.  You are the Queen of my heart forever.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

My mum and grandma. Guess what.. they wore the same color blouse on the same day coincidently. And it's Mother's Day. This is what we called mother and daughter.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Lastly, I wish all mums.. Happy Mother's Day. May you be blessed with SPARKLING happiness and health.

I LOVE FOOD

Well, it has been a long time I din come out with a post here. Hmm.. maybe I'm too busy and sometimes I felt reluctant to write. Somehow I'm in a good mood today and most importantly I have something to share.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dsc00062_copy_4 Trying to write something light today. Yeap, let's talk about FOOD. I LOVE FOOD. Food is my life. Just can't live without it. And yes, I may look thin.. but I'm a big eater! "Chicken rice plus rice", "Dried Mee add mee"... these are not words from me but from the food seller. They are so used to my phrase that they can just memorize it. Whenever I go near to their stall, they will know what to serve. Sometimes, I felt so embarrassed. lol...

Here are some of my favorite food... [some photos are in low quality, you got to blame my phone camera]

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hand Made Chinese Noodle Soup
Served hot with spinach, meat ball, fish cake and my favorite fried anchovies (ikan bilis). Of course, size=big. I love everything served in hot especially soup.

Dsc00085_copy_1

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hai Luo' with special thai sauce
Dsc00087_copyI have no idea what this is called in English. This dish can only be found in a restaurant in my hometown. The 'Hai Luo' (Chinese) is served cold and sliced. With special thai sauce (spicy and sour) and grinned peanuts.. it makes it a perfect appetizer. The sliced HaiLuo tastes like Abalone, but more tender, sweet and delicious. I don't really like abalone actually. Don't underestimate this dish, it is quite expensive.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Pasta - Spaghetti
I love spaghetti. Instead of instant noodles, I always cook spaghetti anytime, anywhere... I just love it. Imagine half packet of spaghetti a time. That's the portion for 3 person but I can finish it in just minutes. Am I crazy? Besides, I've discovered one restaurant named 'Itallianies' offering pasta buffet every wednesday. Today I went again for my 6th time. Ate 3 pasta with different toppings.

And the list goes on and on and on .....

Updated favorite food list

April 19, 2007

FuChou Dry Hand-Made Noodle: served hot with fish cake, minced pork and soy sauce mixed with chilli paste (sambal). Fu Chou is prefecture-level city of Fujian (福建) province in China.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

April 19, 2007

Pan Fried 'Jiaozi' @ GuoTie (Chinese Dumpling): My another favorite chinese cuisine. The jiaozi is a Chinese dumpling which consists of minced meat and chopped vegetables wrapped into a piece of dough. I love the popular mixings of pork with  Chinese chives (also known as Ku Chai in Teochew dialect) etc. Jiaozi are usually boiled or steamed. It is a traditional dish for Chinese New Year's Eve. If they are shallow fried, they are called guotie or potstickers. Compared to wontons (dumplings served boiled in a soup), jiaozi have a thicker skin and are longer. Also jiaozi has different wrappings and ways to wrap. It is eaten by dipping in the black vinegar with sliced ginger. "Mmmmmphh.........." They were THAT good.

Japanese Curry Katsu:  I love japanese curry. Below is the set lunch I've eaten in a ramen restaurant.

P1120580 P1120561

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Siu Mai (Dim Sum): Siu mai (pronounced: SHOO-my), or shao-mai, are a popular Cantonese dim sum.  It can also be known as steamed pork and shrimp dumpling.

P1120007

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

More food to come.. I will update my favorite list constantly. You know when I take photos of the food, I got to be cautious. The food seller will have the suspicious look to me, wondering why is this weirdo taking pics of their food and the stalls etc. Am I a food journalist or somehow trying to steal their culinary secrets.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

JASON can COOK
Don't underestimate me! I can cook good food. I used to be live alone independently. Thus, I trained myself to cook. Besides, I love to watch and learn. Whenever I saw great food, I will try to imitate, learn and cook. Of course to feed myself. I enjoy doing it.  Here are the food I prepared for my parents and sis last year.

I cook

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Lastly, Food does not affect my weight. No matter how much I have eaten.. nothing happens! It's the stress that controls it. Thus, you can always judge me.. if I get thinner, then I'm having more stress lately.. if fatter, you can just imagine how happy I am recently. That is why.... there is a saying "Laughter is the best medicine". I totally agree! However, it's not medicine.. but "Laughter is the best FOOD for me".

Earthquake Kills More Than 80 In Sumatra: My Personal Experience

March 6, 2007
- It was a sunny morning. What a day! I was having sleepless night trying my best to memorize and revise for my morning test around 11.00am. No one would never expect this will be the end for 80 people in Sumatra.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I was in the midst of the test, 4th floor in faculty when suddenly I felt my body shaking. Am I shivering? I can feel myself vibrating. Or anyone, shaking my chair? I started looking around. To the left, right and behind.. No one near to my chair, instead everyone is sitting very still, focusing seriously on their papers, making sure they answer every single question correctly.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Am I the only one who felt it? I started to get dizzy. Is this just my imagination? Maybe I'm too tired. It might be the consequence of waking up early 3am to revise. "Time is up!" lecturer shouted. We completed our test around 12pm. Everyone rushed out from class. We started discussing about our test. Suddenly, that little incident struck my mind again. "Do you guys feel the quake just now?" I started asking. "Nope.." one of my friend answered. Then, out of nowhere, the other friend answered, "I felt it too. I thought it was just my imagination. I can see the OHP desk shaking." Everyone started to become very curious. "Gosh! An earthquake in UTM (our university)" one of my course mate shouted.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It must be happening somewhere. I headed to my car and out for lunch. As usual, I'll tune in to 938 live radio station. I was driving when the headline news started. The DJ started reporting, "30minutes ago, an earthquake measuring 6.3 magnitude triggers in Sumatra. Buildings around Singapore such as in Clementi, Ngee Ann Polytechnic were affected by the quake too. People in the building were evacuated although no alarm was triggered"

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"We are working in our office when suddenly we felt the quake. Our computers are shaking. One of my colleague cried due to the previous experience she had gone through. Everyone of us ran out of the office. "

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I was stunned. So, this is really happening. This is true. Almost speechless for a few seconds. I started calling my family and friends informing them about the quake. I wonder how serious is it? Another disaster for Indonesians...

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Well, as expected, it came out in the Headline News today. "Earthquake Kills More Than 80 In Sumatra". A 6.0 magnitude earthquake struck west Sumatra area yesterday, two hours after a 6.3 quake hit the same area which was felt in Singapore and Malaysia. Click HERE for more Information regarding the earthquake -->
http://amazing-science-fact.blogspot.com/2007/03/earthquake-kills-more-than-80-in.html

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It was an amazing experience for me. However, hope this won't happen often. Please.. god.. no more disaster... bless the world with peace and harmony.

Uniquely Singapore! My travel photo diary

Few weeks ago (22-24th January 2007), I went overseas. Where? Ha.. neither Australia nor Korea.. but our neighbouring country, Singapore. When I was a kid, Singapore visit was nothing to me. Cos it is near from my hometown and I would go there monthly with family to visit my aunt.  However, my every visit to Singapore is limited to either Woodlands, Bukit Timah, Clementi Road or sometimes Bukit Batok. Why? Because that's the location my aunt stayed. 20+ of visiting, I've never been to Singapore city.

Until the invitations from my hometown friends, they offered to bring me around Singapore since they are quite familiar with it after working there for more than 6months. So, Singapore.. here I come.

Well I tot of writing my whole journey in this blog. But it seems like the interface here in friendster is not so user-friendly for embeding videos, photos.. thus I've chose to blog all the photos HERE -->

My Girl (Drama - 2005/06) - 마이걸 (Ma-i Geol)

Well, this is a korean drama out during Dec 2005. Maybe it's too late to review, but I just love it. It came before "Goong @ Princess Hours". I was recommended by my friends about this drama. I bought the dvd and started watching on Wednesday.

Gosh, I was totally hooked up by this drama. One episode after another, I just couldn't stop watching. My curiosity made me sit at my bed in front of my desktop for the whole day wondering what will happen next in this beautiful, romantic and touching story. I missed my breakfast, then lunch.. I just couldn't help it.
Watched the final episode yesterday. I'm gonna miss this drama. I rate this drama 5/5.

TechNews: How to remove Virus-Burster?

Gosh, my computer is infected with a 'so called' virus named Virusburst. Well, it's not a virus but it's a rogue anti-spyware program which is installed without your knowledge! It will start popping up all 'scary words' like 'your com is infected with trojan, system failure', then luring you to install their anti-spyware program (which is actually a fake software). If u install, there comes all the viruses and trojan.

The scariest nightmare is that, it can't be detected by any of the antivirus and spyware software like norton, avg, spybot etc.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

WHAT IS VIRUS BURSTER ?
VirusBurster, known as Virusburst, is another rogue anti-spyware program that alleges to remove spyware. VirusBurster causes more harm than good by tricking you into downloading their fake software. Once installed, VirusBurster trojan unleashes ads that look like security messages you would regularly receive from Windows. The fake security message states that you’re machine is infected with spyware and to download VirusBurster, so the malware infections can be removed. The ads are so deceptive that you are lured into clicking on them and purchasing the VirusBurster full version. If you download VirusBurster, you’re putting your computer at risk and jeopardizing your security. VirusBurster tends to illegaly install on your computer without your knowledge.

VirusBurster is similar to other popular rogue anti-spyware programs such as VirusRescue, VirusBlast, SystemDoctor, Smitfraud, SpySheriff, SpyHeal, SpywareQuake.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

HOW TO DEAL WITH IT?
Scary right? I just experienced this in a couple of hours just now. I was downloading a free trial software when my computer got infected. POPUP in every minute, makes you so worried and anxious.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Step 1:
But DO KEEP IN MIND, when you encounter a virus or something like this, do not do anything STUPID without thinking!BE CALM and START THINKING. Do not simply click on anything that tempted you to click. Sit back and observe properly what is the virus all about. How serious is it.

[I tried to stop it by CTRL+ALT+DEL, disabled all startup, it won't stop! Then, i tried to seek for uninstallation.  GOSH, DUN EVER PRESS THE UNINSTALLATION .. OR it will actually install that little thingy! Luckily I was alert enough to know that it won't be so easy to get rid of this stuff]

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Step 2:
SEEK THE EXPERIENCED ONE or LOOK FOR TIPS IN THE INTERNET. Thus, I went online for the tips. Keep in mind, you can never trust any tips until you really browse most of the available tips in the internet. Some tips are leading you to more disaster.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Step 3:
FOLLOW THE GUIDELINES SERIOUSLY! DUN ATTEMPT to try on the guidelines if you don't really understand. If u left any steps undone in the guidelines, this might cause your computer setting to be deleted or destructing your own computer system yourself, making it even worse! If you are not confident, send it to any professionals. If u are very confident about it, then you can start.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Step 4:
These are the guidelines to remove Virus-Burster. Follow the instruction:
Guideline source from techguy forum

  1. Please download (save) SmitfraudFix (by S!Ri) to your desktop.
  2. Extract the content (a folder named SmitfraudFix) to your Desktop. Select all of the contents and Extract them to a new folder called SmitfraudFix.
  3. You should print out these instructions, or copy them to a NotePad file for reading while in Safe Mode, because you will not be able to connect to the Internet to read from this site.
  4. Next, please reboot your computer in Safe Mode by doing the following :
  5. Restart your computer
  6. After hearing your computer beep once during startup, but before the Windows icon appears, tap the F8 key continually;
  7. Instead of Windows loading as normal, a menu with options should appear;
  8. Select the first option, to run Windows in Safe Mode, then press "Enter".
  9.  Choose your usual account.
  10. Once in Safe Mode, open the SmitfraudFix folder again and double-click smitfraudfix.cmd
  11. Select option #2 - Clean by typing 2 and press "Enter" to delete infected files.
  12. You will be prompted: "Registry cleaning - Do you want to clean the registry?"; answer "Yes" by typing Y and press "Enter" in order to remove the Desktop background and clean registry keys associated with the infection.
  13. The tool will now check if wininet.dll is infected. You may be prompted to replace the infected file (if found); answer "Yes" by typing Y and press "Enter".
  14. The tool may need to restart your computer to finish the cleaning process; if it doesn't, please restart it into Normal Windows.
  15. DONE

ONCE UPON A DECEMBER - 22 years of living... still Life Goes On...

Time past in a blink of an eye. People are getting older day by day, loading with more responsiblities month by month, becoming mature year by year! Sometimes, people tends to stop and think, "What future will I be leading?", "Is this the perfect choice I've made?", "ooh...how I wish I am still a cute loving child with no worries"

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Why am I mentioning all this? Haha.. seems weird.. it is not the end of the world? It's just the end of the month. November left and December crawled in. I'm quite in a dillema right now, that's why! Time for me to choose my best route for future. Time for me to decide what's the best for me.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

That's actually my true feeling right now. Ok ok, let's drop the subject. Huh.. December is my month. Today is my big day. 2nd of December, the day when I first opened my lovely slit little eyes and cried for the whole day. Surprised with all the white aliens, the weird smelling air and a sweaty, tired woman staring right into my eyes and smiled with joy saying "My little WeeMin is born! After 10months, that's my baby". Hehe.. I'm in there for 10months, I should be out during november but perhaps it's too comfortable inside, I chose to stay for one more month. Well, today is my 22 aniversary of it. 22.. gosh.. in few more years I'll be 30.. i am no longer a teenager then..

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I can still recall, when I was young, I would always longed to be old faster.. now that I'm old enough, I hope my age now will stop here forever. Ha..

Although it's my big day, I'm here all alone without my family and friends. I'm here in my university eventhough it is a holiday due to the on-going research I need to settle for my final year project. My friends were back hometown and I got no chance to be back with family. I'm not complaining as I got used with this kind of situation before. No fancy party, no birthday cakes, no birthday songs... life still goes on. However, I received a lot of birthday wishes thru sms, email, friendster from my friends. To me, that is more than enough for me.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Who says birthday has to be celebrated with birthday cake? That is just a symbolization. Talking about birthday cakes, I got some sweet memories of it. I got a 'roti tisu with candles' as my birthday cake before. Fun rite? We proposed different kinds of 'so called' birthday cakes for friends as well. Such as watermelon, ice cream.. and heard some of my friends who used durian. Yuks.. But that's fun!

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Lastly, my birthday wishes.. there is a superstition that birthday wishes should not be told to anyone orelse it will not come true. Well, it shouldn't be 'told',.. i can be typed rite.. i'm not saying it out.. not telling it verbally, i am just typing it... hah.. hope it will come true.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

First, I would wish 'world peace'.. a world with peace and harmony.. no wars, no chronic disease and no disaster.

Secondly, I wish to be blessed with luck, health and wealth. A lucky, healthy and wealthy guy... wuahaha.. and of course, stop growing taller.. grow horizontally. I wish to be a successful person!

Thirdly
, may my family blessed with luck as well. My mom, sis and dad.. hope to have a wonderful family, although sometimes we struggles, we went through all the hardship .. bright times will arrive and no more worries!

Lastly, my friends. Hope all of them to have great futures. When u guys got rich, dun forget me, this pal here who once pray for u guys here in this blog. Haha...

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Well, that's all. Future post will focus on the current new technologies we have, what's new! That's my way of sharing knowledge. Check them out!

2minutes knowledge: How many WEBSITES now in the internet?

Ever wonder how many websites now in the Internet? Well, first of all, ask yourself, how many websites do you visit on an average day? 5, 10, 25 or more…

It seems that there is endless stream of little square portals all vying for our attraction.

According to CNN, now a number of pit stops on the information super highway have apparently reached a worldwide high point. There are now 100,000,000 websites (100millions) with domain names and contact on them. 27,000,000+ (27millions) sites created just this year 2006. This is due to the blog generation when you don’t have to be a technologist or be able to create a website. In 1995, there are only 18,000.

The first webpage was a search engine, the library of congress, newspapers and ha.. porn perhaps. But then the internet gradually became a science of making money. Now, internet has been used daily for work, some recreation purposes and many can never live without an internet. The 100 million numbers may seem a little staggering, as the web continues to grow; we follow or is it the other way around?

Look majestic? Well, Goong's fan will scream with anxiety when browsing these pictures. This is the korean drama I've been watching lately. I spent 3 days to watch 24 episodes of it. I was attracted by the discussion going on in the public, friends and radio station about this drama. Thus, due to my curiousity I bought the dvd and start watching. First day, 5 episodes then next day 10 episodes and just finished yesterday 9 episodes.

Ever wonder ‘What if modern Korea were a constitutional monarchy with a king?’
A royal family story.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A high budget drama potraying life of a royal family during 20th century. Daily life of Prince William (England)? no... although he does appear in this drama. It's a story of a Crown Prince in Korea.

Goong is story about the love in face of tradition, politics, and intrigue. Korea is a constitutional monarchy and the Royal Family lives in a grand Palace, the Goong. Story opens with a startling diagnosis that the King is terminally ill. Faced with the decreasing popularity among the public for the Royalty, a grand wedding for the Crown Prince, Lee Shin, is decided to be the best publicity move to improve the image of Royalty and at the same time prepare Shin for immediate succession. The intended bride? The headstrong, awkward, and sweet spirited Shin Chae-gyung that just happens to go to the same exclusive art school. Chae-gyung was betrothed to become the next Crown Princess by her grandfather and Shin's grandfather.

I like the photos above. I love interesting pictures below as well. It's teddy bear which is arranged and dressed exactly like the scene in the drama. The teddies look so real potraying the happiness, sadness or romance in the scene.

For Goong (Princess Hours) fans, hope you enjoy the pictures. While, those who never watched this drama before, well, it's worth to watch. Although it's a bit dragging in the middle.. the climax is worth to be waited. Something different from this drama with others is that we can learn lots of korean culture and an imaginative world of royalty in Korea.

Sharing: That Thing Called Love CONT....

Well, Ive received a comment from Naomi regarding the trend of having bf or gf. I do agree bout it. Sometimes we tend to be influenced by friends and people around us.

It is like " OK, we are having a gathering, and all my friends are bringing their gf(s). And well, I have no one. Should I get one? "

For me, different people have different ways to deal with love.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Some people regard love as a toy - these are the people who are ranked to be called 'playboy/girl'. They change partners very recent and never get serious with relationship. When they have no feel with each other, they break up!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Some people use love for a try-out - When someone suddenly approach you and ask you out for a date, will you accept it? Well, depends and sometimes you should. After meeting up with him, you'll still uncertain whether he/she is the one, what should you do? Accept or the other way round. Some choose to give it a try. They somehow are having a relationship which they are not sure what will happen next.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Some are serious when it comes to love - This kind of a person are those who observe and seek for a long term relationship. When it comes to love, he/she will start questioning themselves, "Is this the one who can spend life with me forever", "Is he/she suits me, with my culture, thoughts, daily life..?" These are the one who hardly get into a relationship because they are seeking for soulmates who really suit them.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

For me, it's really hard to find someone who can spend with you the rest of your life. I'm someone who is committed to love. If I am in a relationship, I hope to make sure that the relationship will last forever. In my life, career comes first then love. Why? I'm not a workaholic but I always to have a stable relationship in short as well long term. For a guy, without a stable income, how can you promise a stable life for your soulmate, how can you protect them? Anyway, that's my point of view.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Love shouldn't stop after marriage. Frankly, it's hard to maintain love. That's why there are divorce, some couples tends to be very cold to each other after a certain period. Love is so complicated. It can be sweet and bitter. These were the reasons why some tend to escape from love and marriage.

Am I scaring you? No.. I was sharing my personal opinion about love. Maybe I'm too conservative when it comes to love. What's in your mind? Feel free to share.

Sharing: That Thing Called Love

251400718_3ee8fa1763_3 Are you in love? Ever wonder, what’s love all about? This time I would like to share something I know about love. Love is divided to lust, romantic obsession and attachment. There some who lost of love and some cultures, people never gonna experience love.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The first stage is lust. It’s very much of the sex drive. One of the main things that men like about women is their waist and hippy shows. Women are attracted to men with broad shoulders and rugged features.

Lust

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The second stage of love is romantic passion. The same chemicals were involved when the person is in love and highly into it. The scientists are speculating that it ends after about 4 years. And it is because that’s the period for a human baby to become viable (sensible). And two things happen either couple separate or they stay together in the long term relationship.

Romantic

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The third stage is called attachment. And there is a different chemical on the brain that involves in that. That causes one to feel very calm and soothe. That happens couples have settled down with their lives and children.

Attachment

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In India, romantic passion dies. Arrange marriage has been in India for centuries. And they say that first comes marriage then comes love. There have been abuses of that though and there is a certain days when thousands of children were married of which is considered an auspicious day. The practice of child wedding is extremely controversial and they are trying a lot to stop it. One of the social workers who had tried to stop, has her hands cut off. Love somehow became a human right issues. It became something other than love. 13-year-old girl who had been married for 9 years. Her husband was 17. Another young girl at 15 has two children. In India, a woman without a man has no status.

Downside_of_love

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Taiwanese man come to China to obtain a bride. The men interview their potential bride. By the end of the day, there will have selected wife. In three days, they were married. A woman would have married someone whom she had met for 10minutes and to go off with him to an entirely different country. It’s all because the desire for a better life that they will be able to do that. The men went to China for bride due to the aggressiveness and assertiveness of the Taiwanese women now. They are educated, have jobs and opinions.

Taiwan

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Japan is in the social crisis. They have the lowest birth rates and the highest age of marriage. Women feel that it is a life of dreary according to Japan tradition. Young women now are in their social revolution that they don’t want that. And one of the phenomenon are the “lolitas”. Women from the teenage years up to the age of 30 or 40s who dress in little bopeep (little doll) outfit. They intend to escape from the adults’ responsibilities.

Lolita

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Weddings, valentines … anyone who has already been in love, know that it is not the reality. There is a minimal possibility to be “Happily Ever After”.

Don’t you think so?

2minutes knowledge: Why don’t venomous snakes die from their own venom?

245014198_a5c856831a_1 All venomous animals have some kind of protection of their own venom, some have protection against other species venom but not against all of them. It is like a protein cage that built around the venom that protects the rest of the cells from it. That is just the way they are born that way. That thing prevents the venom from attacking its own body.

Venom is like a soup of a bunch of different proteins and all have different effects. The main effect from a cobra venom is a neurotoxin (poison which acts to the nervous system) effect which paralyze you and your neural system. As for rattlesnake venom, it has hemotoxin (which attacks your blood and tissues), so you start to swell up, you probably feel instantly pain, and you start losing the ability to coagulate your blood. The enzymes in venom will start digesting your muscle tissues.
